Fortinet has released FortiOS 7.6.3 on April 17th. There are a lot of resovled issues but again another feature was completely removed. After the SSLVPN (tunnel- and web-mode) has been completely removed on models with only 2GB RAM and the small G models, now SSLVPN tunnel-mode has been removed on ALL models! SSLVPN web-mode (now called “agentless VPN”) is still available – but only on 19” Fortigate models (3-digit Fortigate models).
Please be aware of this when upgrading to 7.6.3 and refer to the release notes for alternatives: FortiOS 7.6.3 – Release Notes
Update 20. June 2025: “SSL VPN not supported on FortiGate G-series Entry-Level models” on FortiOS 7.4.8
Fortinet writes in the Release Notes of FortiOS 7.4.8: “The SSL VPN web and tunnel mode feature will not be available from the GUI or the CLI on the FortiGate G-Series Entry-Level models, including 50G, 70G, 90G and variants. Settings will not be upgraded from previous versions.”
